ADVANCED Automotive Diagnostic & Repair Center was established in 2009 after the largest dealership on the Eastern shore of Maryland closed. Sam Fike and Didier (Smitty) Smith had worked at Bob Smith Automotive for over 20 years. They both started out as apprentice technicians, and with their troubleshooting abilities, they quickly began to work on the most challenging of vehicle failures. They both became lead technicians and shop foremen. With ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and GM certifications they used their training and on the job experiences to hone their craft, and moved up through the levels of management. After finally becoming the service manager and fixed operations director, Sam and Smitty had learned the importance of customer satisfaction, and opened their own shop where they could offer their customers a superior place to take their vehicles with top quality auto repairs, and unmatched customer service.
ADVANCED Automotive believes in offering a personalized level of service and customer satisfaction. Our motto is "There is no substitute for Experience." Every customer is different and their needs vary from one to another. Through our experience we strive to match any vehicle's maintenance and auto repair needs with the budget of the customer in mind.
What Makes Advanced Automotive Different
We understand that knowledge, honesty and integrity are extremely important in a great mechanic, and we do our best to exceed your expectations. It is important to us to keep you involved in your service, and to keep explanations simple.
To ensure our knowledge base is complete and up-to-date, we subscribe to services that let us know if your vehicle has parts under recall, or if there are any Manufacturer Vehicle Service Bulletins issued (which advise us of commonly reported problems specific to your make and model.)
We work directly with your insurance company or extended warranty provider and advocate for you to keep your out-of-pocket auto repair costs as low as possible.
Our Tools and Equipment
We use state of the art tools and equipment such as The RoadForce Balancer and the Snap On Verus Scanner to accurately assess your vehicle's condition.
The Road Force Balancer Vibration Control System accurately and effectively simulates your unique tire under the same conditions as while driving. By simulating factors such as load weight and wheel shape, we can easily seek and smooth out the slightest imperfections contributing to vibration.     Learn More »
The Snap-On Verus Diagnostic Scanner is the highest rated and professional auto diagnostic scanner on the market as ranked by Motor Magazine. It saves you time and money by testing your vehicle's computer error codes accurately to prevent performing unnecessary auto repairs, reducing the risk of creating another error by undertaking inappropriate interventions.     Learn More »
We also offer J-2534 compliant "PassThru" interface computer reprogramming, which can fix manufacturers bugs or improve driveability. What works fine in a brand new car many not work as well after 50,000 or 100,000 miles of real world driving.
